Born and raised amidst the cultural richness of Mexico City - the oldest capital in the Americas - Sam was immersed from a young age in the design and innovation of this diverse, cosmopolitan city. Following his family lineage of architects, Sam made the decision to study this subject at Mexico’s Anahuac University, where he was able to expand his passion for and technical understanding of the relationship between spaces and people and how architecture can impact people’s daily lives.
It was also at this time that Sam began working in the construction industry, gaining hands-on experience and where he learned about the relationship between the utopic ideals of the architect and the reality of the industry. This tension between constraint and desire is what he believes both hones and showcases an architect’s level of maturity.
Sam’s designs reflect his extensive travels, his innate sense of curiosity, and his constant observations about the relationship between human and space. With his commitment to architectural design and his extensive experience in construction, he is able to analyze the needs of his client without exceeding the practical limitations that govern any project.
Sam’s design-build team take on clients and projects of varying scales. Whether from the ground up or a smaller renovation, he is able to guide a client through the design process and all the way through completion of construction. Through his portfolio of completed works, he seeks to inspire the client and showcase the best relationship between human and space.
Always in search of new project opportunities and designs.
